Medical officials cited potential complications, including respiratory distress and eclampsia, which refers to the occurrence of seizures following a sudden increase in blood pressure during pregnancy, as stated by the Cleveland Clinic.
“Eclampsia usually manifests after the 20th week of pregnancy. Although rare, it affects less than 3% of individuals with preeclampsia. Eclampsia can lead to pregnancy complications and necessitates immediate medical attention,” as stated by the Cleveland Clinic.
